Janis Hall’s work blends abstraction with natural forms, using animals and botanicals as emotional anchors within layered, intuitive compositions. Originally from Portage, Michigan, Janis’s professional life took her to South Carolina, Washington D.C., Chicago, and several years in Europe with her Flemish husband before returning to the Kalamazoo area. Travel remains a source of inspiration, especially their time spent wandering through Belgium and the rest of Europe.
