Kalamazoo Artistic Development Initiative (KADI) Grant Recipient
I am honored to announce that my project, Kalamazoo Then and Now, has been selected as a recipient of a Kalamazoo Artistic Development Initiative (KADI) Project Support Grant from the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo.
The KADI program supports individual artists in developing their artistic practice through meaningful projects and professional growth opportunities. In this first funding round, 23 of 33 applications received awards, reflecting the strength and creativity of Kalamazoo's artistic community.
Kalamazoo Then and Now explores the connection between past and present by bringing historical images and stories of Kalamazoo into dialogue with the city as it exists today. Through this project, I aim to celebrate local history, encourage community engagement, and provide new perspectives on the places that have shaped Kalamazoo's identity.
I am grateful to the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo and the Irving S. Gilmore Foundation for their support and commitment to local artists. This grant will help make the next phase of the project possible, and I look forward to sharing new work and discoveries in the months ahead.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Kalamazoo Then and Now. Stay tuned for updates as the project continues to grow.f
